The majority of the ground floor slab has been constructed. Having been fabricated off site, the independent steel frame structure has now also been fixed in place.
The 215mm block work wall has also been constructed to the inside face of the double layer of high density insulation, which is installed along the boundary wall of the neighbouring property.
The steel beams which define the corner of the first floor will provide the structure for the corner cantilever.
Now that the steel frame is in place, the infill blockwork walls can be constructed up to first floor level. Once the first floor joists have been put in place, the upper level of the extension can be constructed.
